1929 4½ Litre ’Blower’ Bentley - note the dominant supercharger

Between 1927 and 1932 various models of this car won and placed at Le Mans and set several speed records at Brooklands and other venues.

The literary James Bond also drove one of these as his personal car, and it played a starring turn in the 1955 Fleming novel Moonraker (not to be confused with the Bond film of the same name). The car even made it to the movies, with a cameo at the beginning of the second Bond film, From Russia With Love (1963).
